Reflections

Second stop on our “Laag ta sa Cebu” Pilgrimage tour was Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. According to our tour guides, it has been a common knowledge for people to believe that the Santo Nino is Cebu’s patron, but in reality, Cebu’s patron is Our Lady of Guadalupe. Like in the first church we visited, I wasn’t able to gather that much information, so I will just share some pictures I took. But, I was able to find a piece of article about the church… if you want to read it, click HERE. Here are the pictures (photo flood ahead):

Facade

The facade. Getting this shot took me “ages” as there were two vans for this tour and each van carries 18 people. I waited until all of them were inside the church, but of course, I couldn’t get a “spotless” shot.

Church's Interiors

The stained glass image of Our Lady of Guadalupe as seen on the facade, but this was taken from the inside of the church.

The church’s interiors.

The altar.

Zooming in on the upper sides of the altar.

Church's Interiors

The church’s interiors, as seen from the altar. If anyone has any details about the church’s history, please don’t hesitate to inform me. I would like to educate myself about my country and my religion. Thanks! And thank you for stopping by my blog.
