The supposed to be 2PM graduation rites of my sister started 4:30PM and ended around 8PM. All of us were so hungry because we basically had just breakfast, so when we reached SM Mall of Asia (probably the nearest mall from Philippine International Convention Center), we quickly thought about where to eat dinner.
Sister and I took a look at the mall's directory, and the first restaurant's name that caught our attention was "Mangan," so that's where we went. There weren't much information online about the restaurant, but I can tell that it's a Filipino restaurant; "mangan" actually meant "eat" in most Philippine dialects. Some pictures I took from the place:

Divider. The restaurant area and the kitchen was separated by these shelves - a very unique one, making diners feel as if they are eating at the comforts of their own homes.

Kamote Fries. Since this is a Filipino restaurant, they served us sweet potatoes cut in shoe strings and fried with brown sugar. Something for the diners to munch on while waiting for the foods. There's one shoestring sweet potato that was burnt, I didn't know why I didn't take it off before I took the picture. This was actually tasty and crunchy, kinda like eating sweet PikNik.

Drinks. We (mom, bro, and I) had their bottomless iced tea, while sister opt to have mango juice. They said the iced tea was their own brew - which was really delicious, only that there were too much froth. Good thing it was bottomless, or I would really complain. :)

Grill Platter. Instead of getting different food items for each of us, we decided to go for their platter meals instead so we can all share. The platter had: grilled slabs of pork belly, chicken leg quarter, mussels, shrimps, milkfish, and eggplant (which was missing in the platter because brother already took it).
The food was good, but for a family of big eaters (very hungry at that), the food seemed not enough. I actually ate just some of the pork, chicken, and fish because I let mom eat the mussels and shrimps (her favorite). One thing I learned, though... we should've ordered a soup as well, because grilled foods on rice tend to be a little dry. The foods were okay, but I guess I am used to having soup whenever the family eats dry foods.
Would I eat there again? Probably. I wasn't really raving about their foods, I guess eating at Filipino restaurants did have a slight disadvantage, because being a Filipino, I could just cook it at home and I won't be charged much. However, if the family decides to eat there again, or friends would meet there, I see no reason why I won't eat.

ps - I was able to take pictures of how the restaurant looked like, but the pictures were in the DVD, and since my netbook doesn't have DVD drive, these pictures were taken from my Facebook profile.

It all looks delicious to me. Great to have a 'see through' to the kitchen and see if it is clean.
