I was supposed to have my lunch at Midway Grill on the dot, but realizing it was still closed prompted me to check out an Internet Cafe. I had my lunch at 2pm (yeah, quite late), and right after I finished eating, I took a bus to my next destination: Sts. Peter and Paul Church in the town of Bauang, next town after San Fernando City.

Facade. A little bit of history: "It is one of the oldest church in the country. The church was founded in 1580 and was canonically finished on 25 April 1587 by the Augustinian missionaries. The church was damaged during the 1892 earthquake, was restored in 1895 and was damaged again in 1944 while the stone convent was destroyed in 1955. The convent was restored and in its place stands the present Sacred Heart School.
A rectangular four-storey bell tower which have two bells was restored with cement and hollow blocks in 1973 while the interior was painted in 1978. On 16 July 1989, the facade was once again damaged by an earthquake and was later rebuilt. (SOURCE)

Bell Tower. It also serves as the side entrance of the church.

Church Interiors. When I got there, I was really lucky because the door was open. The church was having some renovations that time (changing the ceiling near the choir loft), so I entered with caution.

Aisle Leading to the Altar. I just love the tiles!

Altar Up Close. Like most churches in La Union, this, too, had a dome by the altar.

Benches. I took this picture by the altar. The church was small, yes, but I do find it really beautiful.
Schedule of Masses for this church:

They also have Novena Masses every Wednesdays at 5:15pm.
This church accommodates Baptisms every Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays; seminar is scheduled at 9:30am, and the actual baptism is scheduled at 11:00am. Should the parents / guardians want to do baptisms on a different day, they have to make an appointment by talking to the officer-in-charge, the office is located near the side entrance.
As for weddings and funeral services, parishioners have to talk to the church staff regarding the schedules.
It was already late in the afternoon when I left the church. I don't have anywhere else to go to, so I decided to travel back home. While on the road, I exchanged text messages with brother and he told me I should've went to the church in the town of Naguilian (next town), but I just told him I'd visit it next time.
It has been a fine day for me. I am happy the skies were clear as I visited two churches that day.
