When we reached the Picucubuan Port (where we will take a boat ride to Santiago Island), there were festivities, and since they "closed" part of the sea to give way to the celebration, we stayed for a while and watched.
I wasn't able to take that much images, but here were some I took:

Boats. I didn't know if they were spectators or there was a race, but it's just nice to see people going out to watch.

A Child Waiting. It was nice seeing this boy watching the event, but him so close to the edge made me feel a little scared.

Pawis Race. One contest they had was the Pawis Race. Pawis is what they call the small boat, and as you may well know now, the one with the fastest time wins. The contest run in heats with two boats racing per heat.

Group Race. After the individual race, next was the group race. Each big boat carries 20 people who will paddle to the finish line. Fastest team wins, obviously.
We weren't able to watch this anymore because while preparing for the group race, they opened the sea for boats carrying passengers. We were able to watch a glimpse of the race and the gray team was leading.
