Bolinao, Pangasinan

Even before I traveled to Pangasinan, I already told Aunt Jo time and time again that I really hope to roam around and not just stay in the island. Well, Bolinao is a very beautiful place, but the thing was that, my mom's family hailed from a small barangay in Santiago Island, and it was quite difficult to check out places because a taking the tricycle from the house to the port already cost nearly p100 one way, and we still had to take the boat that would take us to the main land.
I guess Aunt Jo had already talked to cousin Dang about it because on my second day, she already told me to get ready so we could go out and roam. I let her lead the way, and as soon as we reached the Picucubuan Port, we took a tricycle and cousin asked the driver to take us to Rock Garden Resort. Cousin said they have been there several times and liked the place, so she is hoping I will like it, too.
Some pictures I took:

On the Lookout. A couple taking a relaxing moment while watching other people soak up the sun.

Further Away. It was a hot, hot, day, but I still took the time to walk and find subjects for photographs, but somehow I felt dissatisfied.

A Hut in the Sea. They are definitely enjoying the waters!
The Rock Garden Resort also has rooms for guests who wanted to stay overnight or maybe a few days. Sadly, we weren't able to check the resort's amenities as my cousin thought I just wanted to see the beach. Anyway, rooms at this resort can be as low as p750/day to p1750/day depending on the room you will be taking.
Good points based on my short visit: The resort wasn't far away from the heart of the town, so when you get off the bus, you can just take a tricycle and you will be there in less than 5 minutes. The beach wasn't deep, making it a good beach for kids to enjoy the water. Bad points: they don't have enough cottages near the shore for people stay at. They had a few benches with roofs (like the one in the first picture), but it can only seat two people. Where will the other family members sit at?
I reminded myself that the province was hit by a very devastating typhoon the year before, so I understand at some point that maybe they were still in the process of renovation. This trip was a year ago, so I do hope by now they have already finished beautifying the place.
With the scorching heat and no hut / cottage to stay at to keep us covered, cousin and I decided to leave and check out other places. I talked about going to Patar Beach, but my cousin hasn't visited it yet, so today might be a good day to check it out. Story for that will be shared tomorrow.
