Balaoan, La Union
28 October 2010
I am not sure if you notice it, but I only get to update this blog every Tuesdays. Well, with many things to do, editing images for this blog often takes the backseat, but since it's already 2012 and I am still stuck with 2010 travels, I sure hope that from here on out, I'd get to update this blog more than thrice per week, if not everyday.
Anyway, from Luna Church, Ria and I took the jeepney to Balaoan Church. We wanted this day as a church hop day, so even if there was a wedding going on, we sat at the last row and waited for the celebration to end before we took pictures.
Since this church is located near my paternal family's hometown, I have already visited the church from the past. To view certain details about the church's history and check other pictures I took, please click HERE.
For this post, I will just share images and talk little about each image:

Facade. The bell tower was detached from the main church, so taking a picture of the facade with the bell tower was so difficult, given the space provided.

Church Interiors. Nothing has changed since then.

Altar, Up Close. Very simple, but still beautiful.

Baptism Area. I think this something new from the series of pictures; am not sure though if this was a new addition to the church, or I just forgot to take a picture of it from my last visit.

Exterior Altar. I loved the colors then, I still love it now. :)
It was getting near lunch time, so as soon as we finished saying our prayers and taking pictures inside the church, we took a bus ride going to the capital city of San Fernando to eat lunch and continue our church hop from there.
